Questions
Things warehouse managers ask us.
Do we need to buy new scales or hardware?
No. If you have a pallet jack with a built-in scale, you're set. A hook scale helps for single bags but it's optional. Staff read the weight and enter it on any phone, tablet or PC.
Is Crateful a point-of-sale system?
No. Crateful covers the warehouse side: donations in, sorting, stock and sending boxes to stores. It sits alongside whatever your shops use to sell.
What happens if the Wi-Fi drops?
Entries are saved on the device and sent through once it reconnects. Nobody has to re-enter anything.
How long does it take to train staff?
About 30 minutes per person to start, and around 10 minutes when we release something new. We run the first session with you.
Can we get our data out?
Yes. Export any date range to Excel or Google Sheets at any time. Enterprise plans can also feed data straight into your own reporting tools.
How do stores order from the warehouse?
Each store logs in and sees the boxes available in the warehouse right now. They pick what they need and send the order. The warehouse gets a pick list on the phone, ticks boxes off by bay and signs the order out to the driver.
Do stores have to weigh or sort anything?
No. Stores only order and receive. Weighing and sorting stay with the warehouse team.
